Frédéric Fonjallaz

Frédéric Fonjallaz (born July 16, 1802 in Cully , † October 19, 1858 ibid) was a Swiss politician and judge . From 1854 to 1857 he was a member of the National Council.

biography

The son of a district court president studied law at the Lausanne Academy and inherited considerable property. From 1832 to 1834 Fonjallaz served as prosecutor involved, from 1842 to 1845 as a judge of the District Court of the District Lavaux . He was also a substitute judge at the criminal court of the second jurisdiction of the canton of Vaud . As a lieutenant colonel , he commanded the third military district.

Fonjallaz was close to the Liberals and was elected to the Vaudois Grand Council in 1837 , of which he was a member until 1851. In 1850 he served as Syndic ( Mayor ) of Cully. He ran for the National Council elections in 1854 and was elected in the Vaud-East constituency. He waived re-election three years later.
