François Crépin
François Crépin (born October 30, 1830 in Rochefort , † April 30, 1903 in Brussels ) was a Belgian botanist . Its official botanical author's abbreviation is “ Crép. "
Live and act
Crépin founded a garden nursery in Ghent, Belgium . In 1862 he founded the Société Royale de Botanique de Belgique . From 1876 to 1901 he was director of the Brussels Botanical Garden .
The genus Crepinella March. has been named after him. The same applies to Crépin Point , a cape on the coast of King George Island in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands .
