François Loeb

François Loeb (born December 9, 1940 in Bern ; resident in Baden and Bern) is a Swiss entrepreneur , politician ( FDP ) and writer .

Life

François Loeb was born in Bern in 1940, where he grew up, and graduated from the University of St. Gallen with a degree in economics in 1965 . He then worked for various companies in Canada and Switzerland. From 1975 to 2005 he ran the Loeb department store in Bern, founded by his great-grandfather in 1881 .

In addition to his economic activity, Loeb was politically active: from 1976 to 1982 he was a member of the large municipal council of Muri bei Bern , from 1982 to 1987 he was a member of the large council of the canton of Bern and from 1987 to 1999 of the national council .

Under the pseudonym “Bruno A. Nauser” he regularly published so-called fast-read novels in the weekend edition of the NZZ , which were then published in 1994 as a book. Since then he has published four more volumes of short stories under his real name.

Loeb is married, has two children and now lives in the Black Forest .
