Françoise Bertin

Françoise Bertin (born September 23, 1925 in Paris , France , † October 26, 2014 in Galan , France) was a French actress .

Life

Françoise Bertin was the niece of the actress and singer Suzanne-Marie Bertin . She made her theatrical debut in 1949 in William Shakespeare's Measure for Measure at the theater of Saint-Étienne . Until her screen debut in Alain Resnai's Oscar- nominated drama Last Year in Marienbad in 1961 , Bertin continued to appear on several French theaters. She received her greatest theater award in 1993, when she was awarded the renowned Molière for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in Temps contre temps (in the original Another time by Ronald Harwood ), in particular for her nude scenes .

Bertin died in Galan's hospital in October 2014 at the age of 89. Her husband, the actor and producer Gérard Lorin , died on February 29, 2000.
