Francisco "Fran" José Villalba Rodrigo (born May 11, 1998 in Valencia ) is a Spanish football player . He has been under contract with Birmingham City since 2019 . He is currently active on loan for UD Almería .

Career

Villalba began his career with FC Valencia . In February 2015 he played for the third division team for the first time. With the U-19 team, he took part in the Youth League in 2015/16 . He made his professional debut in December 2015 in the Cup against FC Barakaldo . He made his debut in the Primera División on December 31, 2015 against FC Villarreal when he was substituted on in the closing stages. At Valencia, Villalba has a contract that runs until June 2018 with a release clause.

National team

Villalba played two games for the Spanish U-16 team . With the Spanish U-17 national team , he took part in the 2015 European Championship , where he and his team reached 7th place. Villalba scored a goal in the tournament.
