Francis Pernoux

Francis Pernoux (born April 20, 1850 in Arzier , † June 15, 1905 in Vevey , reformed , resident in Arzier and Le Muids ) was a Swiss politician (FDP) .

biography

Francis Pernoux was born on April 20, 1850 in Arzier, the son of Jules César Pernoux and Marguerite Bénigne, born Dorier. Pernoux was first employed in the tax offices of Nyon and Vevey from 1871 to 1880 , then he worked as a wine merchant . Most recently he was employed as a tax collector in Vevey from 1893 to 1905. In addition, Pernoux was on the board of the wine fraternity, in 1893 in the Société vaudoise de secours mutuels and in 1898 in the Association pour la restauration du Château de Chillon.

Francis Pernoux was married to Jeanne Elisabeth, the daughter of the Nyon tax collector Marc Granger. He died on June 15, 1905 at the age of 55 in Vevey.

Political career

Francis Pernoux served from 1883 to 1893 as a judge at the district court, prefect and deputy prefect. In 1888 he took over the National Council mandate from Louis Ruchonnet, which he held until 1893. He also represented his party in the Vaudois Grand Council from 1889 to 1893 .
