Francisco Eduardo Cervantes Merino (born October 13, 1953 in Ocatán Merino Palafox , Federal District , Mexico ) is a Mexican clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Orizaba .

Life

Francisco Eduardo Cervantes Merino received the sacrament of ordination for the diocese of Tuxpan on March 24, 1979 .

On February 2, 2015, Pope Francis appointed him Bishop of Orizaba. He was ordained bishop by the Apostolic Nuncio in Mexico, Archbishop Christophe Pierre , on April 23 of the same year. Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Jalapa , Hipólito Reyes Larios , and the Bishop of Tuxpan, Juan Navarro Castellanos . The inauguration in the Orizaba diocese took place the next day.
