Francisco Ovidio Vera Intriago
Francisco Ovidio Vera Intriago (born October 7, 1942 in Junín , Ecuador ; † April 21, 2014 in Portoviejo , Ecuador) was auxiliary bishop in the Archdiocese of Portoviejo .
Life
Francisco Ovidio Vera Intriago attended from 1966 to 1970, the Seminary in Verona, Italy, and received on 28 June 1970, the sacrament of Holy Orders . He was parish vicar in La Merced (1970–1971) and pastor of La Merced, Portoviejo (1971–1989) and vicar general (1985–2007).
On 16 December 1992 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the titular of Autenti and auxiliary bishop in Porto Viejo. The Bishop of Portoviejo, José Mario Ruiz Navas , donated him episcopal ordination on February 2, 1993 ; Co- consecrators were the bishop emeritus of Portoviejo, Luis Alfredo Carvajal Rosales , and the bishop of Riobamba , Victor Alejandro Corral Mantilla .
Francisco Vera died on April 21, 2014 at the age of 71 in a hospital in Portoviejo of complications from kidney failure .
