Frank-Manuel Peter (* 1959 in Berlin ) is a German dance scholar .

Live and act

Frank-Manuel Peter studied theater studies, art history , German and library studies at the Free University of Berlin and completed an MA . In 2004 he was with a thesis on Dore Hoyer Dr. phil. PhD .

Frank-Manuel Peter has been director of the German Dance Archive in Cologne since 1986 . He has been a lecturer since 2005 and honorary professor for the dance studies course at the Cologne University of Music and Dance since 2012 . He is in charge of the book series “Studies and Documents on Dance Studies” published by the German Dance Archive Cologne, with Walter Salmen and from Volume 8 with Gabriele Busch-Salmen the series “Terpsichore - Dance History Studies” and the “Bibliography of German-language university publications on dance studies / dance research”.

Frank-Manuel Peter is a member of the advisory board of the Alexander and Renata Camaro Foundation .
