Frank Beutel (* 1955 in Zernsdorf ) is a German contemporary artist. His works include large format wall paintings , paintings in oil on canvas and hand drawings.

Life

Frank Beutel has lived and worked in Berlin since 1977 and in Zeuthen since 1999 . From 1981 to 1986 he studied wall painting , painting and graphics with Professors Heinrich Tessmer and Dieter Gantz at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee and at the Institute for Building-Related Art (Monbijoupark Berlin) .

Since 1986, Beutel has been working freelance primarily in Berlin. From 1986 to 1989 he was a member of the building-related art conception group in the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR in Berlin-Buch . Since then, many wall paintings have been created in Berlin and the surrounding area. B. 1998 the project “Gendarmenmarkt - Square Of Respect”, five paintings in oil on canvas and five miniatures for orchestra by Sachar Katz for these paintings.

After study trips to Pompeii , Rome and Florence , four large wall paintings “Living by the Lake” were created in Zernsdorf in 2015. Since 2015, Beutel has been increasingly working in sgraffito , secco painting and fresco .
