Frank EP Dievernich (born January 5, 1970 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German economist . He has been President of the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences since 2014 .

Life

Frank Dievernich studied business administration and sociology at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In 2001 he was at the University of Witten / Herdecke in Dirk Baecker and Rudolf Wimmer with the thesis "The end of tunnel vision - What teams contribute to the sustainability of companies." Doctorate . Among other things, he worked as a manager at Deutsche Bahn AG and at the management consultancy Kienbaum Consultants International in Berlin and Frankfurt. He has been working as a systemic business coach and teaching trainer since 2007.

From 2009 to 2012 he was Professor of Business Management at the Bern University of Applied Sciences for Business, Health, and Social Work , from 2013 Professor of Organization, Management and Personnel and Head of the Executive MBA program at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences . In 2014 he became professor for organizational consulting, coaching, HR and change management in the business and law department of the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences in Frankfurt am Main . He also works as a management researcher, publicist and consultant.

On July 2, 2014, he was elected President of the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, his term of office began on September 1, 2014.

Dievernich is an associated member of the DFG research project on the subject of “organizational path dependencies” at the Free University of Berlin and a member of the editorial board of the Swiss journal GDI-Impuls (Gottlieb-Duttweiler-Institut, www.gdi.ch) and inventor of corporate organizational responsibility . He has published on the topics of management and organization. He has been a columnist for the business magazine Bilanz since 2016.

Presidency at the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences

As part of his function as President of the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences, Frank Dievernich positioned himself on "Rock gegen Rechts 2018" with a widely acclaimed speech against right-wing ideas. As part of an election campaign organized by the CAES (Center for Applied European Studies, an institution of the FRA-UAS of which Dievernich is also listed as a member) on April 5, 2019, at which students and teachers demonstrated against the participation of Jörg Meuthen (AfD) , however, he felt compelled to have the demonstrators removed by the police in order to ensure the implementation of the event. During this eviction, the press was excluded from the university management as a neutral monitoring body. As a result, there was a public debate about the freedom of research and teaching.
