Frank Filip
Frank Filip (Franz) (born March 14, 1903 in Vienna ; † August 20, 1964 there ) was an Austrian composer and writer .
Life
He studied piano and music theory with Karl Pilss at the Vienna Conservatory before attending a conducting course. From 1923 he directed a dance band and from 1938 worked as a freelance composer. Filip was also a music designer and screenwriter for feature films at ORF. He also wrote Viennese songs , chansons , film and light music (“Viennese Melodies”, Meine Tante - Deine Tante (1956) and others). He was given the professional title of Professor .
His final resting place is in the urn grove of the Simmering fire hall (Department 3, Ring 2, Group 7, Number 12) in Vienna.
