Frank Mappes (born April 14, 1966 in Halle (Saale) ) is a former German football player . In the top division of GDR football , the Oberliga , he played for 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig .
Athletic career
BSG and club stations
Frank Mappes, who was born in Halle, started working for BSG Post there in the early 1970s at community level. At the end of the decade he was delegated to 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig , where he was active in the youth team.
Before the 1984/85 season the outgrown just the junior age defensive player has been in the league squad received the 1. FC Lok, but in the top division of the East German football Mappes did not come this season are used. He had his only first division appearance in the following season . In December 1985 he was substituted on for Olaf Marschall after a good hour in the Lok game away from BSG Wismut Aue (1: 1) on matchday 13 .

Selection bets
