Frank van der Zwan (born July 27, 1988 in Delft ) is a Dutch football player . Since the winter break of 2008/09, the striker has been under contract with the Dutch first division club FC Utrecht .
Career
Van der Zwan played for ADO Den Haag until July 2007 before moving to the youth department of FC Utrecht . At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he slipped into the club's professional squad, but was briefly awarded to the HFC Haarlem in the Eerste Divisie . On August 8th, 2008 the attacker made his professional debut against TOP Oss . He came on in the 74th minute for Laurens at Mound . Until the winter break of the season, he prevails in the storm of the HFC . Due to the injuries of Ali Boussaboun and Morten Skoubo as well as Cedric van der Gun's weak form , the Utrecht officials decided to bring the striker back after the first half of the season. Shortly after his return, however, the young player was injured and was out for the rest of the season. Nevertheless, his contract was extended by one year in April 2009. In the following year van der Zwan proved his scoring risk in the reserve team of FC Utrecht. This brought him his first professional assignment for the FCU . On March 28, 2010 he changed Utrecht coach Ton du Chatinier in the home game against RKC Waalwijk in the 85th minute for Ricky van Wolfswinkel . The game was won 2-0. Van der Zwan was also used on the following day. Nevertheless, the offensive player decided in the summer of 2010 to switch to the second division Go Ahead Eagles . With the Eagles van der Zwan achieved seventh place in the Eerste Divisie in 2010/11 and thus the right to participate in the promotion round to the Eredivisie . There they failed in the first round with 0: 1 and 1: 2 at FC Den Bosch . Van der Zwan was substituted on in both games. His current contract with the Eagles runs until summer 2012.
