Franz-Xaver Lindl

Franz-Xaver Lindl (* 1897 in Berching ; † December 30, 1970 in Erlangen ) was a painter , sculptor and graphic artist .

education and study

He studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy , was also a master class student there and made a name for himself above all with the design and expansion of churches . Before studying, he trained as a carpenter.

life and work

He worked in Düsseldorf and on the Lower Rhine , in the Upper Palatinate, among others . Works worth seeing can be found in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel, in the monastery church in Wesel- Hamminkeln and in Berching . He also worked as a graphic artist and designer for various companies. During his artistic trip to Italy from 1924 to 1925 he produced numerous drawings, graphics, oil paintings and wood engravings. His work on the Russian winter and the life and work of the farmers in his Upper Palatinate homeland are also well worth seeing .
