Franz Beier

Franz Beier (born September 24, 1898 in Bladen , † March 26, 1957 in Augsburg ) was a German politician ( SPD ). He was a member of the Bavarian state parliament from 1950 until his death .

Life

Beier came from Upper Silesia . He attended the private Heilig-Kreuz-Schule near Neisse and the Woyrschgymnasium in Leobschütz . After the Obersekunda he left school and went to the Leobschütz district as an administrative apprentice . After taking part in the First World War as a soldier from 1917 , he returned to his homeland in 1918 severely damaged by the war and worked again in the district administration from 1919. In addition to his professional activity, he volunteered for the SPD in local politics from 1919 until the National Socialists came to power . After he had been promoted to district committee senior secretary in 1927, the new rulers dismissed him in 1934. Beier then made his living initially as an insurance agent. In 1937 he was approved by the tax office in Leobschütz as an assistant in tax matters. In 1941 he passed the tax advisor exam .

Beier came after the Second World War as a refugee to Augsburg , where he again worked as a tax consultant from the 1946th He also resumed his work for the SPD and was elected to the Bavarian State Parliament for them in the 1950 state election in the Augsburg I constituency. Four years later he succeeded in re-entering the state parliament via the Schwaben constituency list. From 1950 to 1954 he was also a member of the complaints committee at the Swabian branch of the State Office for Emergency Aid.

In the state parliament he was mainly involved in questions of budgetary and state finances and was a member of various committees that dealt with these issues. From February 1955 he was deputy chairman of the commission for the examination of state guarantees. He was also a deputy non-professional judge member of the Bavarian State Court .
