Franz Bretschneider
Franz Bretschneider (born October 2, 1866 in Vienna ; † June 23, 1950 there ) was an Austrian politician ( SPÖ ).
Life
Bretschneider was a mechanic and was first involved in the workers' education association in Gumpendorf and then politically in Floridsdorf .
After Anton Schlinger, he was a councilor in Vienna from 1914 to 1918. From 1919 to 1932 he was district chairman of Floridsdorf.
During the Second World War he was a member of the resistance movement and after the end of the war he rebuilt the political structures in Floridsdorf and was head of the food office in Floridsdorf until September 1945.

- A community building in Floridsdorf was named in his honor of Franz-Bretschneider-Hof .
