Franz Bummerl
Franz Bummerl , pseudonym Claus Bottner (born January 11, 1927 in Labant , Czechoslovakia , † July 19, 2011 in Ludwigsburg ) was a Bohemian-German musician , composer and arranger .
Life
As a child, Bummerl received violin and trumpet lessons from Franz Heinl in Oelsnitz (Vogtland) . After passing the entrance examination, he studied at the German University Institute for Music and Performing Arts in Prague . His main subjects there were composition, trumpet and piano, his teachers were Finke and Nowakowski. In 1943, Bummerl had to break off his studies and was drafted into the Air Force Music Corps in Berlin . After the war, Franz Bummerl found a new home in Stuttgart and from 1946 continued his studies at the local music college. After studying in 1951, Bummerl was a member of the Südfunk-Tanzorchester under the direction of Erwin Lehn , in which he played the trumpet , for 15 years . During this time he met Ernst Mosch, and with him in 1956 he launched the original Egerland musicians . There he played the flugelhorn , composed, arranged and was Mosch's sole singing partner until the engagement of the singer Barbara Rosen in 1971. He received numerous gold records; many of his more than 700 compositions and arrangements became internationally known. Franz Bummerl died on July 19, 2011 in Ludwigsburg . He was on the municipal cemetery Tamm , district of Ludwigsburg buried.
