Alexander Franz Freiherr Csorich von Monte Creto (spr. Tschóritsch; Croatian Aleksandar Franjo barun Čorić), (born October 3, 1772 in Senj (Zengg) in the littoral ; † March 4, 1847 in Temesvár ) was a Croatian kuk field marshal lieutenant .

Life

In 1789 he joined the army as a cadet and took part in the campaigns from 1792 onwards. As a first lieutenant on May 13, 1800, he contributed a lot to the victory at Monte Creto and received the Maria Theresa Order . When he was raised to the baron class of Vienna on June 30, 1818, he received the title de Monte Creto . He participated in the war years of 1801, 1809 and 1813 and retired for a short time in 1821, then became Brigadie Commander in Transylvania , in 1832 Lieutenant Field Marshal and Division Commander in Galicia , in 1839 Commanding General in Tyrol and in 1842 in the Banat . He died on March 4, 1847 in Temesvár.

From his marriage with Ludmille von Schindler, Franz Csorich de Monte Creto left no children. So he adopted his nephew, the later kk FZM and Austrian Minister of War Anton Csorich von Monte Creto , who was subsequently elevated to the baron status with the same title with a special diploma from Vienna on October 16, 1840.
