Franz Doerksen

Franz Julius Doerksen (* March 7, 1860 in Groß Zünder ; † November 18, 1930 in Danzig-Langfuhr ) was a farmer and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Doerksen attended the Realgymnasium zu St. Johann in Gdansk from 1869 to 1877. After that he was a farmer and in 1883 acquired his Wossitz estate , which he has managed ever since. He fulfilled his military duty in 1881/82 as a one-year volunteer with the Fusilier Regiment No. 33, was captain of the Landwehr, district deputy, member of the West Prussian provincial parish , the district committee and district council and the board of directors of the West Prussian Chamber of Agriculture.

From 1898 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the Reichstag constituency, Danzig 2 administrative district and the German Reich Party . Between 1920 and 1927 he was a member of the People's Day of the Free City of Danzig for the DNVP .

He was a bearer of the Red Eagle Order IV Class , the Landwehr Service Award First Class and the Zentenar Medal .
