Franz Gasselsberger

Franz Gasselsberger (born April 12, 1959 in Ampflwang im Hausruckwald ) is an Austrian bank manager.

education

Born in Ampflwang in the Hausruckwald, Gasselsberger completed his schooling at the Vöcklabruck secondary school in 1978 with the Matura . He then studied law at the Paris-Lodron University in Salzburg from 1978 to 1982 and obtained his doctorate in law. Parallel to his managerial work in the Salzburg division of the Oberbank, he completed the international management academy LIMAK and graduated in April 1998 with the International Executive MBA .

Professional background

In 1983 Gasselsberger started his career at Oberbank AG in the Wels-Neustadt branch, after which he worked at Oberbank Braunau . Just two years later he was appointed head of the Altheim office until he moved to the Salzburg branch in 1990 and from 1991 onwards was deputy head of the Salzburg division.

In April 1998 the supervisory board appointed him to the management board of Oberbank AG, on May 1, 2002 he was appointed spokesman of the management board and on May 1, 2005 he was appointed chairman of the management board with the title of general director. In November 2007 Franz Gasselsberger was appointed Honorary Consul of the Federal Republic of Germany in Upper Austria by the German Federal President .

In April 2009 he was awarded the professional title of Commercial Councilor.

On April 13, 2010 Franz Gasselsberger was elected chairman of the banking and insurance division of the Upper Austria Chamber of Commerce .
