Franz Gribitz
Franz Gribitz (born October 2, 1894 in Vienna , † March 13, 1969 ibid) was an Austrian journalist , playwright and screenwriter .
Live and act
Gribitz became active as a writer at an early age. He began to write chansons as early as the First World War and immediately after the end of the war he wrote texts for Viennese press products such as the humorous weekly Die Muskete as well as for youth and monthly magazines. In addition, he also worked as a play author, for example for Das Glück lives next door, Heart modernly furnished, Eva in an evening dress and The Countess So-and-so, some of which were also made into films. As a co-author, Gribitz was also responsible for the operetta Mädel from Vienna in 1932.
During the Second World War , Franz Gribitz was also intensively involved in film; Until 1945, the Viennese-born participated primarily in the scripts for humorous stories by and with Theo Lingen . Shortly before the end of the war, Gribitz was also involved in Willi Forst's large-scale color film project Wiener Mädeln in Prague . Even after the war, Gribitz remained connected to the comedy and took part in film manuscripts for Austrian and West German productions, none of which, however, had any artistic significance.
