Franz Herold

Franz Herold (born February 15, 1854 in Bohemian Leipa , † August 12, 1943 in Vienna ) was an Austrian poet and writer .

Life

Franz Herold studied at the University of Prague , where he was awarded a Dr. phil. PhD. He then taught as a high school professor in Budweis , Kremsier , Prague and from 1905–1908 at the Academic Gymnasium Vienna , where he belonged to the Iduna writers' association . Franz Herold worked as a “German-conscious”, homeland-loving and religious poet .
