Franz Hipler

Franz Hipler (born February 17, 1836 in Allenstein in East Prussia , † December 17, 1898 in Frauenburg ) was a Catholic German historian and theologian , rain of the seminary and professor at the Lyceum Hosianum in Braunsberg .

Similar to Leopold Prowe , who was active in Thorn , the Catholic Hipler, or the Historical Association for Warmia , devoted himself to researching the life of Nicolaus Copernicus , who as canon in the Diocese of Warmia was a predecessor of Hipler.
