Franz Josef Conrad (born April 14, 1944 in Riegelsberg , Saarland , † September 12, 1985 in Bonn ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Conrad attended the Riegelsberg elementary school from 1950 to 1959 . He then completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith at the Röchling-Burbach steelworks from 1959 to 1962 . He was employed there until 1976.

Since 1961 he was a member of the Junge Union , since 1963 a member of the CDU. In 1970 he became a member of the CDU regional executive board and in 1972 deputy regional chairman.

From 1974 to 1977 Conrad was a member of the Riegelsberg municipal council. From 1976 until his death in 1985 he was a member of the German Bundestag for the CDU . In 1976 and 1980 he was elected via the Saarland state list; In 1983 he was able to win the direct mandate in the constituency of Saarbrücken II . Doris Pack moved to the Bundestag for the late Conrad .

Franz Josef Conrad was married and had two children.
