Franz Joseph Herz , from 1733 from Herz zu Herzfeld , (also Herz in Herzfeld ; * 1681 in Babenhausen , † November 8, 1739 in Salzburg ) was a German jurist .

Life

Herz was the son of a winemaker and was enrolled on December 1, 1699 as a Fugger's companion for philosophy at the University of Salzburg . He then studied law. On December 3, 1706 he was awarded a Lic. Iur. Graduated and on February 9, 1707 consistorial and court counselor advocate in Salzburg . In the same year, however, Prince Archbishop Johann Ernst appointed him to his court as secretary of the court council .

In a short time Herz rose to the position of Hofrat in Salzburg . In March 16, 1717 doctorate him the Salzburg University for Dr. iur. utr. and full professor of the institutions. In 1722 he became such a pandect, in 1730 under German constitutional law and later also under natural and international law. On October 4, 1729, he was appointed to the Real Privy Council .

Heart was with diploma by August 10, 1733 in the imperial peerage with the title from heart to heart field (or heart in Herzfeld ) raised .
