Franz Kahle (born June 12, 1959 in Rheda ) is a German lawyer and politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ).

Life

After graduating from high school, he studied philosophy at the Philipps University in Marburg from 1979 , and from 1980 also law . He has been a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen since 1979 and, as a representative of the GBAL (Green-Bunt-Alternative List), was president of the student parliament in 1983/84 and AStA chairman in 1984/85 . After studying and legal clerkship, Kahle worked as a research assistant to Prof. Dieter Meurer at the chair for criminal law , criminal procedure law and legal philosophy and at the research center for legal informatics at the Philipps University of Marburg. In 1995 he did his doctorate on the subject of "The abuse of titles, job titles and badges - legal interest, protective purpose and scope of § 132a StGB ".

From 1995 Kahle worked as an employed lawyer in the law firm Pünder, Volhard, Weber & Axster (today Clifford Chance ) in Frankfurt am Main. From 1996 to 2001 he worked as a judge in civil and criminal courts, most recently as chairman of the lay judge's court at Marburg district court . He then became a full-time city ​​councilor of the university town of Marburg an der Lahn (2001-2005).

Since 2005, Franz Kahle was mayor and thus deputy mayor of the university city of Marburg and temporarily chairman of the supervisory board of Stadtwerke Marburg. Since 2007, both nationally and internationally, Kahle has been named in numerous national media as the initiator of the Marburg solar statutes . His proposal to connect the city center with the Lahn Mountains by means of a cable car was discussed for a long time.
