District Court of Marburg
The District Court of Marburg is a court of ordinary jurisdiction based in the central Hessian city of Marburg . It is housed together with the Marburg Regional Court and the Marburg Public Prosecutor's Office in a building complex on Universitätsstrasse in the city center.
District and duties
The district court (AG) Marburg is responsible for the city of Marburg , the city of Wetter and the communities of Cölbe , Ebsdorfergrund , Fronhausen , Lahntal , Lohra , Münchhausen and Weimar and thus for almost 125,000 residents in the Marburg-Biedenkopf district. It is one of five local courts in the district of Marburg.
The tasks relate to criminal and fine matters as well as civil disputes. In addition, the local court handles insolvency, commercial register and association register matters for all local courts in the Marburg district court. As for all courts in the higher regional court district of Frankfurt am Main, the central dunning court is the Hünfeld district court .
Superior courts
The District Court of Marburg , which in turn belongs to the district of the Higher Regional Court of Frankfurt am Main, is superordinate to the District Court of Marburg .
