Franz Pöhacker

Franz Pöhacker (born February 10, 1927 in Graz ) is an Austrian sculptor .

Life

Franz Pöhacker was born in Graz in 1927 and came to Hall in Tirol in 1933 . From 1944 to 1947 he graduated from the Bundesgewerbeschule in Innsbruck with Hans Pontiller and Helmut Rehm and studied from 1950 to 1957 at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Franz Santifaller and Fritz Wotruba . Since 1959 he has been working as a freelance sculptor in Hall. From 1972 to 1992 he also taught art education at the Franziskanergymnasium in Hall.
