Franz Weigl

Franz Weigl (born October 31, 1932 in Tirschenreuth ; † August 21, 1996 in Munich ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Life and work

After attending secondary school, Weigl completed a commercial apprenticeship and then worked as an employee. He initially worked in the General Secretariat of the Kolping Society in Cologne and in October 1955 became State Secretary of the Kolping Society of Bavaria . From 1969 to 1973 he was chairman of the Christian Trade Union Confederation of Germany (CGB).

Political party

Weigl joined the CSU, joined the Junge Union (JU) and was elected to the state board of the JU Bavaria.

MP

Weigl was a member of the German Bundestag from 1961 to 1972. In parliament he represented the constituency of Tirschenreuth. From 1982 to 1991 he was a member of the Upper Palatinate District Assembly .

Public offices

Weigl was the district administrator of the Tirschenreuth district from 1972 to 1991 .
