Wolfgang Lippert (District Administrator)

Wolfgang Lippert (born June 6, 1955 in Frankenreuth , Kulmain municipality ) is a German local politician ( Free Voters ). From 2008 to April 30, 2020 he was district administrator of the Upper Palatinate district of Tirschenreuth .

Life

Wolfgang Lippert, son of the local politician and long-time spokesman for the Free Voters in the Tirschenreuth district council Georg Lippert, attended the Otto Hahn Grammar School in Marktredwitz and the St. Peter boarding school in Tirschenreuth . After graduating from the Stiftland-Gymnasium Tirschenreuth , he first studied agriculture in Munich , and later switched to teaching for secondary schools. Before his election to the district administrator, he was vice-principal of the elementary school in Kemnath .

With the election to the city council of Kemnath in 1996 Lippert took over a political mandate for the first time. In 2002 he was elected district chairman of the Free Voters and also moved into the district council of the Tirschenreuth district. In the local elections in spring 2008 he prevailed in the runoff election for the office of district administrator with 52.15 percent of the vote against Herbert Hahn (CSU). In his role as district administrator, Lippert was also chairman of the supervisory board of Kliniken Nordoberpfalz . In March 2014, Lippert was re-elected with 51.62% in the first ballot, the opposing candidate Alfred Scheidler (CSU) received 32.74%. Lippert did not run in the local elections on March 15, 2020 .
