Franz Werthmann

Franz Werthmann (born October 13, 1845 or 1846 in Wiesenfeld ; † April 23, 1920 there ) was a farmer, mayor and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Werthmann attended elementary school and had been an innkeeper and farmer in Wiesenfeld since 1872. As a soldier in the 9th Infantry Regiment, he participated in the Franco-German War in 1870/71 . He was on the board of the war club since 1875 and mayor since 1893.

From 1898 to 1903 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Lower Franconia 3 ( Lohr , Karlstadt , Hammelburg , Marktheidenfeld , Gemünden ) and the German Center Party . Between 1899 and 1904 he was also a member of the Bavarian Chamber of Deputies .
