Franz Wilhelm Freiherr von Wiesenhütten (born September 15, 1755 in Frankfurt am Main , † August 18, 1836 ibid) was a Hessian diplomat and former member of the 1st Chamber of the Land estates of the Grand Duchy of Hesse .

Franz Wilhelm Freiherr von Wiesenhütten was the son of the Frankfurt councilor Johann Friedrich von Wiesenhütten (1724–1793) and his wife Maria Dorothea Firnhaber von Eberstein. From 1772 he studied law at the University of Leipzig and moved to the University of Göttingen in 1774 , where he became a member of the ZN student order . In 1775 he became an intern at the Imperial Court of Justice in Wetzlar . He was the grand ducal envoy in Kassel , Biebrich (until 1822) and the free city of Frankfurt (until 1831). From 1820 to 1833 he was a member of the first chamber of the Hessian estates. He is listed as a member in the register of the Frankfurt Freemason Lodge Zur Einigkeit .
