Franz Xaver Krismann , also known as Chrismann and others (born October 22, 1726 in Reifenberg ( Grafschaft Görz ), today's Branik in Slovenia; † May 20, 1795 in Rottenmann , Styria ), was an important Austrian organ builder and originally a priest.

Krismann, the son of ordinary people, must have attended a Jesuit school, then he completed a degree in theology and was ordained a priest on December 19, 1759 in Gorizia . After a few years of pastoral care, he turned to organ building, where he probably learned the organ building trade between 1754 and 1758. He built u. a. the following organs:

In 1795 Krisman died while working on the organ for the parish church of Rottenmann .
