Franz Xaver Leonhard (politician, 1839)

Franz Xaver Leonhard (born February 21, 1839 in Regensburg ; † May 12, 1913 there ) was a Catholic clergyman and a member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Leonhard attended high school in Regensburg and the University of Munich . In 1861 he became a cooperator in Abbach and in 1863 in Deggendorf . In 1878 he became dean and pastor in Neunburg , in 1885 pastor in Pilsting , in 1888 dean and pastor in Deggendorf. He was a city school clerk, inspector of the preparation school, member of the Lower Bavarian district administrator and chairman of the finance committee.

From 1890 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency Niederbayern  5 ( Deggendorf , Regen , Viechtach , Kötzting ) and the German Center Party .

Franz Xaver Leonhard was granted honorary citizenship of Deggendorf in 1901 .
