Franz Seraphicus Seraphin Zeitlinger (born June 22, 1832 in Schlierbach , † April 8, 1899 in Micheldorf in Upper Austria ) was an Austrian scythe manufacturer. He was the sixth of eleven children of the scythe factory Johann Michael Zeitlinger and his wife Maria Theresia Cäzilia Zeitlinger, nee. Kaltenbrunner was born at the Blumau scythe forge in Hausmanning.

Franz Zeitlinger took over after the death of his grandmother Seraphina Maria Theresia Zeitlinger, b. Weinmeister from her the scythe forge on the pinnacle . On August 16, 1853, he married Caspar Zeitlinger's daughter Juliane Josefa Serafina Zeitlinger , his cousin who was related at the same time . After the death of his uncle and father-in-law, he also took over his Gradnwerk and Steinhub . In 1869 he acquired the neighboring Melcherlwerk (scythe smithy on the Aigen). With the purchase of the scythe forge in the Au in Spital am Pyhrn , he already concentrated five scythe factories in his possession in 1881 . In 1891 he was appointed honorary master by the Kirchdorf-Micheldorfer cooperative for his services to the scythe industry. Franz and Juliana Zeitlinger had 16 children, of whom, after his death, their son Caspar took over the scythe works Gradn, Steinhub and Melcherl, Michael the parent company on the Zinne and Rudolf the scythe works in Spital.

Franz Zeitlinger was mayor of Micheldorf from 1868 to 1873 and again from 1879 to 1880.
