Franziska Garcia-Almendaris (born January 31, 1984 in Guben ) is a German handball player .

Career

The 1.70 m tall circle player began her career with HV Guben and was under contract with TSG Ketsch from 2000 to 2008 . There she plays in the first team in the women's handball league . In the junior women division, she played 40 international matches. For the 2008/09 season she moved to 1. FC Nürnberg . After a year she moved to the Thuringian HC . In summer 2011, she moved to Bayer 04 Leverkusen , where her sister Elisabeth also played. After the 2011/12 season she ended her career for both health and professional reasons. In December 2013 she was reactivated by the Bundesliga club DJK / MJC Trier . After the 2014/15 season, she ended her career. Garcia-Almendaris is making her comeback in March 2019 at the relegation-threatened second division club DJK / MJC Trier.
