Free Voters Salzburg is an Austrian party active in the state of Salzburg . It was created by renaming Team Stronach Salzburg , the regional organization of Team Stronach in Salzburg.

history

As a Stronach Salzburg team

In the state elections in Salzburg in 2013 , the Stronach team received 8.34% of the votes cast and moved into the Salzburg state parliament with three mandates . Team Stronach Salzburg was the third regional organization of Team Stronach, after Carinthia and Lower Austria, to enter an Austrian state parliament .

State councilor Hans Mayr acted as state party chairman . In June 2013, Mayr brought Karin Prokop from the federal party to Salzburg as his office manager and regional manager. In October 2013, Mayr was replaced by Helmut Naderer at the request of Federal Party Leader Frank Stronach , and Prokop was also replaced as state manager. On December 31, 2014, Prokop also ended her work as office manager. A dispute ensued between Naderer and Mayr over their employment contracts. Mayr then left the Stronach team in November 2015, his function and involvement in the state government was not affected.

In November 2015 Otto Konrad also left the Stronach Salzburg team after the internal party disputes, as a free MP he wanted to continue to support the state government.

Independence and renaming

At the end of 2016, the Stronach Salzburg team declared itself independent from the federal party. In July 2017 the renaming to Free Voters Salzburg was announced and party leader Naderer planned to run under this name in the state elections in Salzburg in 2018 . Ultimately, however, the party did not submit any district election proposals.
