The Freitag Group is a group of companies in Parsberg, Upper Palatinate, and the largest privately run energy service provider in Germany. The group includes 27 companies in Germany , Hungary and the Czech Republic . They work in the fields of energy technology , electrical engineering , data technology , gas and water supply , information technology and personnel services and look after over 3000 national and international customers.

A total of around 2,700 employees work for the Freitag Group (as of spring 2020).

History and Development

In 1922 Franz Freitag founded an installation company called "Freitag und Kamm".

At the beginning of the German economic miracle, his son Ludwig Freitag entered the installation business in 1953. By the end of the 1980s, he developed the Elektro-Freitag company into a company with 250 employees. In 1988 the Fränkische Baugesellschaft GmbH in Bayreuth was bought.

In the early 1990s, the two sons Joachim and Michael Freitag joined the company. You represent the third generation of the family company.

Between 1990 and 1997 the "Dipl.-Ing.Ludwig Freitag Elektrobau GmbH" in Zwenkau , the "WEA Wärme- und Energieanlagenbau GmbH" in Sebnitz and Erfurt, and the "EBT Elektrobau GmbH Thuringia" in Erfurt. In 2007 the company "Reinhard Kissler Energiemontagen GmbH & Co. KG" in Ludwigshafen was taken over. In 2009, 76% of Enaco Energieanlagen- und Kommunikationstechnik GmbH in Maisach was taken over by E.ON Bayern . The Enaco now belongs entirely to the Freitag Group. The Freitag Group has also been building solar systems in the Czech Republic and Great Britain since 2010 .
