Freya Mavor (born August 13, 1993 in Glasgow ) is a British actress and model .

life and career

Freya Mavor was born in the Scottish industrial city of Glasgow, but grew up in Inverleith . Her Irish mother and father, James Mavor, an award-winning playwright who heads Edinburgh Napier University 's Masters in Screenwriting, have two sons. She received her school education at the Mary Erskine School in Edinburgh and during a four-year stay in France at the Collège Eugène Fromentin in La Rochelle , where her fluent French comes from. In 2008 she became a member of the National Youth Theater. Freya Mavor made her debut in front of the camera in 2011 in 18 episodes of the British television series Skins in the role of Mini McGuinness. In the same year she was the face of the spring and summer campaign for fashion company Pringle of Scotland . In 2013, she played Princess Elizabeth of York in the BBC One miniseries The White Queen . In the screen adaptation of Julian Barnes ' novel The Sense of an Ending , she embodies the young alter ego of the leading actress Charlotte Rampling . In Marcus H. Rosenmüller's film Trautmann , which opened in German cinemas on March 14, 2019 after participating in the 2018 Zurich Film Festival and at the Hamburg Film Festival , Mavor plays the wife of the legendary soccer goalkeeper Bert Trautmann .
