The Friedeholz Syke is a 425 ha large forest area in the Lower Saxon town of Syke in Diepholz . It is located in the eastern area of ​​the Wildeshauser Geest nature park and in the eastern area of ​​the core town of Syke. It reaches a height of 49 meters.

Every year from mid-July to mid-August, the wild-growing orchid broad-leaved stendelwort ( Epipactis helleborine ) blooms in large numbers in this forest area .

Through the wooded area, which gave its name to the street "Am Friedeholz" in the Syker core town, the state road L 333 leads in a north-easterly direction to Okel , the district road K 123 ("Friedeholzstraße") in an easterly direction to Osterholz and the L 354 in a south- east direction Direction to Schnepke .

In 1960 the Friedeholz was designated as a landscape protection area (see list of landscape protection areas in the district of Diepholz ; therein: Friedeholz, LSG DH 00056).

When cyclone quimburga in 1972 (November 13), the forest was destroyed to a large extent, but since then reforested.
