Friederike Feil

Friederike Feil (born May 23, 1986 in Tübingen ) is a former German obstacle runner .

Athletic career

When she was nine, Friederike Feil took part in her first fun run . After studying in the United States , she focused on athletics . From 2008 she competed for the LG Olympia Dortmund . Feil is particularly active in the obstacle course and achieved third place in the German championships for women over 3,000 meters in 2011 with a time of 10: 22.13 minutes.

In addition, from 2012 she took part in extreme competitions such as the Spartan Race , Gettingtough - The Race , Tough Man Race and the Tough Guy Race , where she finished first of the women in 2013 and the first of 241 women to finish in 2014. In 2014, as in 2013, she won the women's StrongmanRuns .

Professional

Feil was born in 1986 in Tübingen as the daughter of the nutritionist Wolfgang Feil . She is a certified international sports nutrition specialist (CISSN) and completed her studies in Boca Raton with a Master of Exercise Science and Health Promotion . She works in her father's company, who works as a nutritional consultant for professional athletes. Together with him and the physiotherapist Uli Brüderlin, she published a guide to overcoming osteoarthritis and joint pain in 2013, for which she compiled recipes for an anti-inflammatory diet. In 2018 she received her doctorate on the topic of the effect of a special diet on inflammation markers in the blood, disease activity, HRV, quality of life and mobility of rheumatics at the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg .
