Friederike Gubernatis (born April 1, 1988 in Hamburg ) is a former German handball player .
Career
Friederike Gubernatis was born in Hamburg and grew up in Tornesch . Here she started playing handball at TuS Esingen in 1993. In 1997 Gubernatis moved to Baden-Württemberg , where she went hunting for goals for HSV Hockenheim.
Gubernatis played for TSG Ketsch from 2000 , where she was initially active in the youth field. In the 2007/08 season , the left-hander played with the women's team in the Bundesliga . After Ketsch was relegated at the end of the season, she played with Ketsch for another season in the 2nd Bundesliga . In summer 2009 she moved to the Bundesliga club Frankfurter HC . With the FHC she reached the Final Four of the DHB Cup in 2010 . From the 2013/14 season Gubernatis joined the Buxtehuder SV . With the BSV, she won the DHB Cup in 2015 and 2017 . She ended her career after the 2019/20 season.
Gubernatis made her debut for the German women's handball team on September 22, 2009 . After 2009 she was no longer appointed to the national team. It was not until October 2017 that she returned to the DHB team under Michael Biegler . With Germany she took part in the 2017 World Cup.
