Friedl Haerlin (born December 29, 1901 in Gauting ; † April 17, 1981 there ) was a German actress .

Life

Friedl Haerlin studied theater studies in Munich after the end of the First World War , received acting lessons and made his debut at the Münchner Kammerspiele in 1921 as Helene in A Midsummer Night's Dream . Together with Albert Bassermann she took part in various tours and in 1924 belonged to the first German actor troupe that was allowed to perform again in Strasbourg since 1918 . Friedl Haerlin's other stages were the Schauspielhaus Zürich , the Burgtheater in Vienna , the Theater in der Josefstadt and the German Volkstheater . Since August 1930 she has been on stage in Berlin at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm , the Renaissance Theater and the Comedy.

The elegant actress appeared in numerous German film comedies in the 1930s , less often in productions with dramatic content. In the feature film Die Lokomotivenbraut she embodied the title character. When she was hardly taken into consideration after the Second World War, she emigrated to Peru, but spent the last years of her life in her home community of Gauting.
