content

The background to the short film is a criminal case from 1930 . A young lady, the “locomotive bride”, meets the director of a scrap recycling company on a train ride. It pretends to have intensive contacts with the Reichsbahn and the Reich Ministry of Economics. Through these relationships, she could, among other things, broker 34 locomotives that are to be scrapped for purchase, but require advances for them. Director Erwin Kraatz pays a large sum and is put off by the young lady with various excuses. Finally the criminal police intervene and unmask the locomotive bride as a fraud.
