Friedrich Brand

Friedrich Brand (* 1891 ; † 1979 ) was a German district administrator and manager.

Life

Brand worked from 1921 to 1923 in the Oldenburg State Ministry , where he was head of the Trade and Industry Council. From 1923 to 1933 he was district administrator in the district of Cloppenburg . After his replacement in 1933, Brand became head of the state electricity association Weser-Ems. From 1936 to 1945 he was chairman of the board of directors and president of Energieversorgung Weser-Ems AG in Oldenburg .

After the end of the Second World War, he took up a job as a freelance economic and financial advisor in 1948. As a member of the predecessor organization of the Economic Council of the CDU , he was head of the “Fire Commission” from 1958, which in 1960 prepared a report on the renovation of the Deutsche Bundesbahn on behalf of the Federal Transport Minister Hans-Christoph Seebohm . From 1961 to 1970 he was a member of the board of directors of the Deutsche Bundesbahn . From 1959 he was a member of the Economic and Social Committee of the EEC in Brussels .

In 1966, Brand received the Federal Cross of Merit with a Star . Since 1910 he was a member of the Catholic student union AV Palatia Göttingen . Later he became a member of the AV Zollern Münster .
