Friedrich Christian Seifert Freiherr von Edelsheim (born November 9, 1669 in Hanau ; † December 21, 1722 ibid), also Seufert , was head of the government ("District President") of the County of Hanau-Munzenberg .

He was the son of Johann Georg Seifert von Edelsheim and Elisabeth von Speckhan (* 1637; † 1701), daughter of Statius von Speckhan (* 1599; † 1679). He was married since 1694 to Clara Elisabeth Magdalene Rau von Holzhausen (* 1666, † 1731), whose family seat was Rauischholzhausen . From this marriage it emerged:

Career

Friedrich Christian Seifert von Edelsheim was a lawyer , statesman and diplomat . In the county of Hanau-Munzenberg he became - in succession to his father - Chamber President ("Finance Minister") and head of the government. He received the honorary title of a Privy Councilor .

In addition, he was literary: he wrote hymn songs . The Hanauische Gesangbuch, published in 1721, contains two songs by him. In addition, he wrote occasional papers:
