Friedrich Ferdinand Ignatz Bawyr von Frankenberg (also: von Frankenberg without Bawyr or Baur von Frankenberg ) (* 1662 on Haus Hohenholz ; † March 1726 ) from the noble family of the Lords of Buer was an electoral Palatinate councilor, Bergisch bailiff to Löwenberg / Lülsdorf , Bergischer Pfennigmeister as well Lieutenant General of the Cavalry .

Friedrich Ferdinand's father was the Jülich-Bergische Hofkammerrat , colonel of the cavalry , Bergisch bailiff at Löwenberg / Lülsdorf and Palatinate-New Burg bailiff at Burg Landsberg in the Palatinate Johann Friedrich Bawyr von Frankenberg (* around 1636, † 1689); his mother his first wife Anna Maria Katharina von Weichs (documented 1661–1665, † 1672).

Friedrich Ferdinand had at least five full siblings and a further six half siblings from the father's second marriage. Among his siblings were Franz Anton Bawyr von Frankenberg , like him lieutenant general of the cavalry, and Maria Sophia Bawyr von Frankenberg , Abbess St. Cecilia of Cologne .

Life & Career

Friedrich Ferdinand was bailiff at Löwenberg / Lülsdorf from 1687 to 1720, as well as a privy councilor, colonel and lieutenant general of the cavalry. From 1681 to 1726, ie until his death, he owned the Böckum house as his eldest son , as well as the Rommeljans house and the Hohenholz house .

In 1708 Friedrich Ferdinand asked for lumber, because in 1702 the Böckum stables, barn and shed had burned down in the course of the siege of the city of Kaiserswerth as part of the War of the Spanish Succession . In 1713 he was awarded the title of Count together with his brother Franz Anton and two years later (1715) Friedrich Ferdinand Bergischer Pfennigmeister. He was sworn up as a baron in 1720. Friedrich Ferdinand died in March 1726 unmarried and childless.
