Friedrich Gottlob Herzog

Friedrich Gottlob Herzog (born October 27, 1689 in Stolpen , † October 28, 1751 in Zittau ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Life

Herzog had attended grammar school in Zittau and obtained his university entrance qualification there. He then moved to the University of Wittenberg on October 29, 1707 , where he acquired the academic degree of Master of Philosophy on April 30, 1711 . After he had also pursued theological studies in Wittenberg, he became adjunct in Lückendorf in 1728 , assistant preacher in Seifersdorf in 1731 , Wednesday preacher in Zittau in 1737, early preacher in St. Petri a. Pauli and in 1748 archdeacon at the main church St. Johannis in Zittau.
