Friedrich Gustav Lisco

Friedrich Gustav Lisco (born February 12, 1791 in Brandenburg an der Havel , † July 5, 1866 in Berlin ) was a German Protestant theologian.

Lisco was the son of Christian Ernst Friedrich Lisco (1764-1821), who worked as superintendent in Brandenburg. Lisco studied from 1811 to 1812 at the Viadrina University in Frankfurt (Oder) and the Berlin University , among others with Friedrich Schleiermacher , August Böckh and Johann Gottlieb Fichte . From 1814 he worked as a preacher in Berlin. On November 1, 1839, he was made an honorary doctorate from the theological faculty of Berlin University.

He was one of the founders of the Berlin Asylum Association for the homeless .

His son was the preacher Emil Gustav Lisco .
